Software with a long life.

Ontario IT, web and SEO company

About Kashvish Tech Labs

An Ontario technology partner that stays past launch day. Five services, one accountable team: digital strategy, managed IT, SEO, web development and application development.

Who we are

Engineers working at light-oak desks in the Toronto office, with the CN Tower and the downtown skyline beyond the windows.
A weekday morning in the Toronto office. Everyone in the frame has shipped something this week that is still running.

Kashvish Tech Labs is a software and IT services company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. We build and maintain the systems Canadian businesses run on, and we do it from one roof rather than four.

We started in 2016 with two developers fixing a freight dashboard nobody else wanted to touch. Nine years on we are a team of 24 engineers, designers, strategists and analysts, with clients across Ontario, the rest of Canada and the northern United States.

Most people arrive with the same problem. Their website, their servers, their search rankings and their mobile app were each bought from a different vendor, so nobody owns the outcome. We take the whole stack: the same team writes the code, hosts it, makes it findable in search, and answers the phone at 4:40pm on a Friday when something breaks.

We are deliberately mid-sized. Large enough to staff a six-week platform migration or a year of managed IT without going over. Small enough that the person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. Roughly eighty per cent of our work is with organisations that have been with us three years or longer, which we take as the only review score that matters.

Mission and vision

Mission. Make dependable technology affordable for growing Canadian organisations, built to be maintained rather than merely delivered.

Vision. To be the Ontario default for businesses that have outgrown freelance help but are not ready for an enterprise agency’s overhead.

The shape of the work

Every engagement follows the same three moves, and the same drawing. Choose one to see where it sits on the line.

A branch leaving the main line and merging back into itA horizontal main line runs from left to right with a node on it. Above the main line a second path leaves it, runs parallel, and returns to the main line at a second node.

Fork. Work leaves main as a branch: a discovery, a spike, a feature nobody should have to wait for. The trunk keeps running while it happens.

What we do

Five services, sold separately or as one accountable team.

Digital strategy and transformation

Audits, platform selection, roadmaps and change management. We write the plan we are then accountable for executing, which is the cheapest way to keep recommendations honest.

  • Technology audit with a costed list of what to keep
  • Platform and hosting choices, with the exit plan written down
  • Roadmap sequenced around the budget year, not the demo
  • Board-ready reporting on progress and spend

Managed IT services

Microsoft 365 administration, hosting and cloud, backups and disaster recovery, endpoint and network support, and a service desk whose response times are written into the contract instead of promised on a call.

  • Monitoring of uptime, error rate and backup age
  • Named engineer, not a queue
  • Tested restore twice a year, with the result reported
  • Patch and licence management across the estate

SEO and search marketing

Technical SEO, local search, content strategy and analytics. We report on pipeline and revenue rather than vanity rankings, and we say when a position is not worth chasing.

  • Core Web Vitals, crawl and index diagnostics
  • Local presence and Google Business Profile work
  • Content modelled around questions buyers actually ask
  • Attribution reporting you can read without a specialist

Web development

Drupal, WordPress and custom builds: design systems, headless and decoupled architecture, migrations, and accessibility conformance. No template-and-run projects, because the template is usually why the last site had to be replaced.

  • Content modelling before any screen design
  • WCAG 2.2 AA conformance with the evidence attached
  • Migrations from WordPress, spreadsheets or legacy PHP
  • Editor training, recorded, so the next starter learns the same way

Application development

Native iOS and Android, cross-platform builds in React Native and Expo, internal tools, and integrations into the systems you already run. An app that cannot reach your data is a demo.

  • One codebase where the platforms allow it, native where they do not
  • Offline-first design for field and clinic work
  • Release pipelines with staged rollout and rollback
  • Store submission, compliance and crash triage included

How we work

Four moves, in order, every time. The rail fills as you read down.

Three engineers at a glass whiteboard on which a branch leaving a main line and merging back has been drawn, one of them pointing at the merge point.
The diagram on the board is the same one above it. It is how we explain a plan to a client and to a new starter in the same afternoon.
  1. 01

    Discover

A paid, fixed-scope technical discovery. You leave with a written plan whether or not you hire us for the build.

  2. 02

    Build in the open

Two-week sprints, a staging site from week one, and a backlog you can read at any time without asking anyone for a report.

  3. 03

    Hand over properly

Documentation, administrator training, and no credentials held hostage at the end of a contract.

  4. 04

    Stay on the line

Care plans, monitoring, and a named engineer who already knows your environment when the alert fires.

Principles

  • Long life over launch day

Software is judged years after go-live, by whoever inherits it.

  • Accessible by default

We build to WCAG 2.2 AA and Ontario’s Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation, and hand over the conformance record your accessibility officer will eventually ask for.

  • Data stays in Canada

Canadian data centres by default, PIPEDA-compliant handling, and public-sector work aligned to FIPPPA.

  • Email you can defend

Every campaign is CASL-compliant, and we will tell you when a plan approved elsewhere is not.

  • One number to call

Support is not a ticket black hole and is not outsourced to someone with no access to the build.

  • Written scope or no scope

Change orders are priced before the work starts, never in the invoice afterwards.

Why Ontario matters to us

A person working on a laptop at a desk beside a tall window, looking out over a winter downtown Toronto skyline with Old City Hall and the lake beyond.
From the desk on a January morning: Old City Hall, the lake, and a client meeting at ten.

Our clients are Ontario law firms, medical and dental clinics, school boards, municipalities, manufacturers and not-for-profits. That means we work in your time zone, understand your budget year, know what a municipal procurement document actually asks for, and can be in your office when a project is large enough to be worth the drive.

Kashvish Tech Labs is a Canadian-controlled corporation incorporated in Ontario. Where a tender specifies Canadian-owned and Canadian-controlled, we meet it and can evidence it.

Questions we are asked often

Are you a Canadian-owned company?

Yes. Incorporated in Ontario, Canadian-controlled, with the whole team based in Canada.

Do you work outside Ontario?

Across Canada and the northern United States. Most engagements run remotely with quarterly on-site reviews, and we will say in the first meeting if we think a project needs more time in the room than we can give it.

Can you support a site another agency built?

Regularly. We start with a technical audit so you get an honest picture of what you inherited before anybody proposes a rebuild.

Do you handle accessibility and compliance?

Accessibility under AODA and WCAG 2.2 AA, privacy under PIPEDA and FIPPPA for public-sector clients, and CASL for marketing email are standard parts of the work rather than billable extras.

Where to start

Book a thirty-minute call with an engineer, not a salesperson. Bring the invoice from your current vendor and a list of what you expected to be able to do with the site or the system. We will tell you which part is reasonable, which part is expensive, and which part nobody should have to pay for twice.
